Don begins with the history of his grandparents. His father worked at Liberty Bell. Frances grew up in Telluride and worked at Pekkarine's store. Don worked at Tomboy and Black Bear Mines. He also drove a freight truck for Telluride Transfer. He was later the county treasurer for 37 years and also held many other positions around town. Don was a founder of the Telluride Jeep Club and describes the history of building and opening Imogene and Ophir Passes to jeeps. Other topics include bootlegging; C.D. Waggoneer, red light district; Buckley Wells; Pekkarine family; Trout lake.
