Description
The history of the Pinon, Ute, and Nucla years from the late 1800s to the early 1900s is a compilation of materials gathered by the members of the Rimrocker Historical Society. The material has been prepared from newspaper articles, letters, essays, poetry, biographies of pioneers and personal accounts related on oral history tapes by early settlers, or by their sons and daughters....This first book shows some of the hardships and ways of life of these early pioneers. All of the principal people portrayed in this book lived at Ute or Pinon before moving to the Park. Some of their families still live in the area and we hope to cover their lives in another volume.--from the front cover.
