Bob (Robert) Haddow is the driver of the cart. He was returning from delivering lumber when he saw his daughter and her friends and offered them a ride.
Jim O'Brien (former owner and driver) standing in front of the Horse Car.
The Denver Tramway line ended at Hampden and from 1982 to 1910 the Cherrelyn Horse Car carried passengers up the steep hill from Hampden to Quincy. At the top of the hill, the horse climbed on the back platform and coasted down hill with the passengers. Jim O'Brien (center) owned and drove the horse car for several years. (from Englewood, Colorado 1903-1978)
Center of the photo is Adeline Czarny, Librarian, helping children find books on the bookmobile. Bobbie Laredo, page, is seated on the floor with the children. The bookmobile was at Alice B. Terry school in Sheridan.
Shown here is Adeline Czarny, Librarian, and Don Gamet, driver and assistant. This first bookmobile was purchased from the Denver Public Library in 1967.
