M-D Drug moved into Tom Sullivan's Pioneer Theater building when Tom died. Ozzie Miller & Truman Davis bought the Theater building and Alcove's Carpet & Drapery moved into the corner and stayed until 1970.
The view is to the North. Girard crosses the center of the photo and Cherokee is on the far right. The building in the center has been demolished and is now a parking lot (as of 2004). The corner of the building on the left is the old City Hall and Library(located at 3400 S. Elati). This building has also been demolished. In 2004 a new building was put up in its place.
The view is to the South from Hampden. The Tin Shop on the left is at 3524 S. Broadway. This building still stands and is the Army Surplus Store. This is also the location of the Tramway loop for car line #3. Englewood Drug Co. across the street is located at 3531 S. Broadway.
