A view of the dining room in the Red Lion Inn, located in Vail. The Red Lion Inn was built by Marge and Larry Burdick in 1962. It opened to the public in February of 1963. The Inn was sold in the 1980s, and was purchased by various groups of Vail locals, fist in September of 1988, and again in November of 2000. The Inn is still open. A view of the dining room in La Cave, a former French restaurant in Vail. La Cave was opened on New Year's Eve 1963, by Jim Slevin. It was a popular restaurant for dinnertime meals and was located in the basement of the Plaza Lodge. Slevin sold La Cave in 1968 to Peter Cremaris. From the verso, "French and Basque cuisine. Intimate atmosphere. Cocktails - Dinner - Dancing."

A postcard of Harrison's Cafe. Once located on Highway 6, Harrison's was owned and run by Owen "Dude" Harrison and Berneice McKelvey. Harrison's was renamed Bernice's Place in the 1970s. The buildings are still standing and is now the Eagle Grand Motel. Verso of the postcard reads: "Restaurant open 24 hrs. a day. Excellent food. Modern hotel. Hot water heat. Wall-to-wall carpets. Located half-way between Grand Jct. and Denver."
