The photo was taken around 1930 in front of Urdine Bell & William Henry Lea's home in Gypsum, Colorado (George Washington's daughter and son-in-law). The log cabin in the picture was also on the property and once was home to William Lea's mother, Johanna Harrison Lea, and his sister, Ada Lea (Sprague).
