1904 Formal portrait of Mr. and Mrs. Julius P. Oleson. Julius Peter Oleson was born Feb. 16, 1876, Schleswig-Holstein, Denmakr, and came to the United States in 1889. In 1902, he entered the mercantile business in Gypsum, Colorado, until the time of his death in 1958. In 1904, he married Iva Beck, and they had three children, Harry A., Christine and Mabel. --Eagle Valley Enterprise, Obituary, June 1958

Benjamin Hart was an Eagle County pioneer, arriving to Red Cliff as a child with his family in 1886. The Hart family were miners and owned, worked, and operated many productive mines near the Battle Mountain area. He married Jennie May Bryant in 1897 and the couple had three children. He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Red Cliff.
