Earl Beck, standing at far left with his crew, was hired by the Forest Service as a foreman for the Civilian Conservation Corps. His crew built the shelter at Camp Tigiwon, the trail up Notch Mountain and the shelter on Notch Mountain. This photo was taken at Camp Tigiwon where the work crew was based.
