It served its purpose well until the one room schools were discontinued in favor of consolidated shcools in 1950. John Wesley Philips, Rhoda Rockwood's father, who was instrumental in building the Gore Creek School in 1886 (circa). Rhoda attended the school which met for only three months, in the summer. She crossed three creeks to get there. There is a dog at the right side of the photo.

A panorama of hay fields near Eagle, Colorado. The large, two story building in the right midground is Eagle High School, completed in 1917. This is actually four photographs laid together in succession to create one long photograph.

The Ivan Dump home, Eagle St., Red Cliff. Standing by the gate, left to right: Ernie Dump Dumph, Eddie Dump Dumph, Betty Mae Dump Elsberry.
To the right was the home and garage of Joe Trujillo. The wood garage was replaced in the early 1950s with a cinder block building.
Above the railroad tracks and fence in the upper right is the school and just to the left of the school is the Squire's home (two stories).
